About Me
Dixie Carroll is a New York City based Singer and Actor hailing from kind of all over the place. While originally from Minnesota, she spent most of her early years in Pennsylvania and Texas.
While receiving a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University, Dixie turned her attention toward classical music. She studied under Chris Hoffman, MFA, and, together, they produced a traditional senior vocal recital. Dixie also received a Minor in Music from Texas A&M and performed in the premiere mixed choir as well as several master works with the Brazos Valley Orchestra, like Bizet’s Carmen, and as a featured soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
Following her graduation from Texas A&M University, Dixie joined the DFW Theater Scene performing in several productions at many of the regional houses in the area. She received an AFA in Musical Theatre from KD Conservatory in Dallas where she studied under Michael Serrecchia, Mark Mullino, Linda Leonard, Nico Corrolla, & Olivia Emilie. While at KD, Dixie was able to originate the role of Hope in As We Lie Still at the regional premiere.
Dixie has been residing in Manhattan for nearly a decade and currently sings professionally in choral settings at churches. She recently produced a fundraising recital with a friend, titled Pipe Dreams & High Notes, with 8 solo pieces and 2 duets. When she isn’t performing, Dixie spends her time reading, working in marketing, & training for the 2025 NYC Marathon.
